Naturally luxurious

I first met Catherine just before she launched her fabulous natural and organic skincare balm range, Balmology just over two years ago and it's been wonderful to see how the brand has grown in that time. More products are being added, the range is being used to create bespoke facials (seriously gorgeous facials!) and there's fabulous reviews (here and here!) being received along the way too. None of which is really surprising given how lovely the products are!

And it's been such fun to work with Catherine on several occasions making sure that we got images that matched her products and branding. Clean, fresh, bright images that conveyed the purity, simplicity, quality and naturalness of the product range - and all without being sterile and clinical. And of course capturing her portrait image - being able to see the face behind this product was something quite key - even if it wasn't something that she was particularly looking forward to! Though I think you'll agree she needed have worried so much!

Our most recent shoot together was earlier on in the summer just before she launched the new Exotic Rose Facial Oil (bliss on your face at night - as you go to sleep you're surrounded by the most beautiful aroma!) and I thought it'd be good to combine those images with some of the ones we've shot in the past in this post.

And if you're even a wee bit tempted do have a peek at her website -!

Not just sportswear whilst your pregnant

I first met Brenda, founder and owner of Mums2B Fitwear, back in October last year when she was looking for a photographer to work with her on the commercial images for the launch of her new range of maternity sportswear.

Having created a fabulous range of products she was keen to showcase the mix of uses they had - from working out at the gym, relaxing at home, having coffee with friends (and many more!) - and to also demonstrate they weren't just for pregnancy. With their unique design they could easily be worn after your baby was born - without looking like you were wearing a sack! And as she was selling on-line she was also going to need to some great product images that really showed off their detail and colours.

So after finding willing models with a range of bump (or no bump) sizes - plus babies, mannequin and locations! - we had a fun few sessions getting all the images we'd planned.

One of my all time favourites was the adorable Anna and William - such a joy to have in front of the camera.

Though our next baby, Matilda, whilst so very cute, wasn't quite so co-operative and we had to employ diversionary tactics so she wouldn't look at the camera!

The design of Brenda's website meant that all the main images were going to be black and white with a letterbox crop and only the product shots would be shown in colour - and both Brenda and myself are thrilled with how they all turned out.

"Jenny has been amazing to work with and made the whole process of producing images for my website a real joy.  She listened to my thoughts and vision of how I wanted my website to look and made fantastic suggestions to improve on that.  The overall result is creative and beyond my expectations – I was so pleased with website images I got Jenny to take some personal portrait shots – I hate having my picture taken but Jenny was patient and I love the final images."
