I've just returned from a wonderful break away in Cornwall, right down near Helston so not far off as far as you can go!
Cornwall is definitely one of our favourite holiday destinations - cliff top walks, beaches, sea air, fish and chips and of course Cornish pasties - though the last two were eaten so quickly I never got a picture! And even though the weather certainly gave us a very mixed bag, we still had an ace time - and having virtually no reception or internet connection for the whole week was quite freeing too!
The camera didn't get out quite as much as I'd have liked - grey sea mists and torrential rain weren't the ideal conditions for either the views or the camera! However I still captured enough to remind me of the fun times we had and which make me smile each time I look at them.
And of course Bill had his sixth birthday whilst we were away, so in celebration of that there's probably even more than normal of him!
Here's a few of my favourites - I've kept them in the order they were taken so you can see how much the weather changed!
Day One: The Lizard and Kynance Cove - grey sea mist then lovely sunshine! And a long walk so a very tired dog at the end of the day!
Day Two: Goldolphin Hill - pouring rain and on his birthday too!
Day Three: Newlyn, Penzance and Polgoon Vineyard - grey and dull but no rain until on the way back to the cottage!
Day Four: Pottering - pouring with rain until of course I went up to the spa for the afternoon!
Day Five: The Loe, Loe Bar, Porthleven, Poldhu Cove and Mullions Cove - slightly grey to start but then beautifully sunny and warm!
Day Six: Gwennap Pit, Portreath and Reskajeage Downs - not much sun but oh so warm!
Day Seven: Exhausted back home!
