Cover girl!

I was thrilled when this month's WI Life came through my letterbox last week to see my portrait of the fabulous Laura had made the cover - particularly as Tamara from earlier on this year had been knocked off the top spot by Gary Barlow!

It was a couple of months ago that I meet Laura and the rest of her WW2 re-enactors at Frogmill Paper Mill in Hemel Hempstead. It was a glorious day and their 1938 Dennis Ace Fire Engine, which they take to steam rallies and 1940's weekends, was positively beaming in the bright sun - as was Laura! A complete natural in front of the camera, we had such fun capturing a variety of different portraits across the different locations that the Mill had to offer.

And it's wonderful to see the pictures and the words come together in the final article. I always like to play the guessing game about which images are used and love the ones WI Life chose - though the ones against the green peeling paint wall are still a personal fav!

1, 2, 3 jump

Or is it jump on 3??? I love it when we have these sort of discussions on a shoot!

An oldie, however I thought it was about time I shared some of the images I shot for McArthur-Davies, a Bristol based marketing agency 18 months ago - yes that really is a wee while ago now!

I've known Alex McArthur through networking for some time now and have really enjoyed creating imagery for a few of their clients over the last couple of years - so it was great to have the opportunity to actually work with them themselves on this occasion!

We started off in the office to get flavour of who they all are and where they work and then headed out into the glorious sunshine - just perfect for showing off Millennium Square at it's best even if it was freezing cold!!

And then we had the 1, 2, 3 discussion!! As you can see there was some confusion before we nailed it!!! Lots of fun along the way though!!

Completely infectious!

Andrea really does have the most fabulous smile and laugh - you can't help but join in with her!

We've known each other for a wee while now - we're part of the same networking group - Women Mean Biz - and we did some portraits together a couple of years ago.

However this time around Andrea was looking for a wider range of images to really show what she's all about - meetings with clients, working in her office, some new portraits to add to the previous ones and her big passion running!

And we had such a good time making sure we got the shots required - even if we were constantly dodging the rain showers and the nettles in the fields!!!
